Olive Branch Kitchen Awarded First 'Kick Start' Grant

Congratulations to the team at Olive Branch Kitchen who have been awarded a business grant of £2,000 to help with the start-up costs of their new social enterprise cafe based at Three Trees Community Centre, Chelmund's Cross Village Centre, North Solihull.

Janine and Richard opened the cafe in June 2013 hoping that they would attract customers for their delicious breakfasts and freshly made lunches.  Since then business has been booming with construction workers from the new Chelmund's Cross Village Centre and regular visitors to the community centre.  Catering for functions and business events is next on the menu and the grant will be used to purchase a range of kitchen equipment to provide a more efficient service and boost sales.

Have you been trading for less than two years?  You could be eligible for a Community Enterprise for Success 'Kick Start' grant.  The new grant fund is designed to give local businesses an extra boost and meet the costs of setting up a business in this tough climate.  For more information and to apply, call Dave Lane on 0121 667 6810 or email david@disecid.org.
