North Solihull Partnership Main Grants up for Grabs

North Solihull Partnership is calling on local community and voluntary organisations to apply for grant funding to benefit and improve the economic prospects of communities in and around Chemsley Wood, Smith's Wood and Kingshurst & Fordbridge. The Main Grant programme has previously funded projects including: • The Kick Start programme for start-up businesses in North Solihull; • An Enterprise development scheme to stimulate new business start-ups; • A project to maximise local employment opportunities in large scale employment contracts; • An enterprise project delivered with local schools; • Apprenticeship schemes, including working with local voluntary, community service organisations. Last year the Main Grant programme invested £150,000 in North Solihull projects that delivered real and sustained change. Councillor Robert Hulland, Cabinet Member for Environment and Housing said: "The North Solihull Partnership's Main Grant fund has been successful in pump priming a number of organisations and initiatives that have made a difference to our communities in and around the three wards of Chemsley Wood, Smith's Wood and Kingshurst & Fordbridge. "I look forward to seeing many more organisations and voluntary groups thinking up new schemes to improve the economic prospects of people living in the area. We are looking for proposals that will bring the greatest benefit and make the most of the investment on offer."
